Still no word from James or the rest of the bird empire Shi'ar. You folk in command haven't heard anything either, right?
Aliyah. Katie. Fuck. This isn't getting any better. Things were less complicated back in New Orleans with all the Guild problems.
Going out for a few days bit. Need a drink. I'll make up training later.

I think something might have shorted out in the Danger Room. Unless someone programmed it to start up a simulation with two sets of samurai and a giant flying bison? I think it's a bison. I'm not really sure. Gonna take a look at it but if anyone else wants to give me a hand, it'd be helpful.

It's official. The littlest Lebeau's gone back to New Orleans for the foreseeable future. Looks like père wanted to keep an eye on her for a little longer before letting her off on her own. Think he's worried about something bigger brewing though I ain't got a clue what. Could have to do with the X-Men letting Brotherhood into the building but that doesn't seem likely. Not Remy.

Can mostly see out of my right eye again. Colors still ain't working right but I figure it'll be a few more days before that's fixed. Something about nerve damage and retinal scarring. All I know is that I ain't putting fire near my face again anytime soon. Unless someone wants to volunteer the loss of their powers for a few hours or days. Gonna have to say, I hope the good press was worth the property damage and my personal damage for the cause.
Gonna go ahead and take the rest of the week from training.

Another Friday night. While it ain't feasible to go out and be back in time for morning training for most people, Ali and I are considering doing some heavy celebratory drinking for the occasion in my apartment. It's still Mardi Gras back home, after all. And since I missed it, I feel like we should be making up for lost time. As good as Jo's King Cake was, it's time for something a little more in the modern spirit of the times.

I can't believe October's nearly halfway over and none of you sorry folk got anything planned for the holiday? That just ain't right. Anyone heard anything about the annual Xavier's Halloween festivities yet? Last I heard was the faculty was still settling on a date for the party. But whatever they decide, the weekend's awfully long to be doing just one thing. Surely somebody's got something worth doing? Outside of the usual drinkin and troublemaking Maybe we convince 'em it's finally time to try that bonfire?
Might be heading out for a day or two soon. Thought I'd give the Powers That Be an advanced notice.
